This week, many Americans will celebrate Thanksgiving, a time we share gratitude for all our blessings in this great country.  At Soul’s Harbor, we also celebrate Thanksgiving with turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and other delicacies. It costs us $13.26 per man to celebrate Thanksgiving. If you would like to contribute to feeding a single harbor resident or a group, you may use a check and remit to the address below or you can donate via credit card or PayPal. Donations may also be transmitted through the blue donate button to the right or the yellow donate button near the bottom of all our web pages.

Miracle on Pleasant Run Road…

We were blessed to eat, pray, and give thanks with Miracle Temple Fellowship Church in Lancaster, TX once again this year. Their congregation has welcomed our men and fed our men in celebration of Thanksgiving going on a decade now. And Miracle Temple Fellowship knows how to cook as you can see from the plate loaded with Thanksgiving goodies! From our residents and staff, thank you Miracle Temple Fellowship Church! Their congregants showed us that love, compassion, and service to our community all lead to a life of gratitude. And a life of gratitude is what our men at Soul’s Harbor are striving to achieve. When we see examples of others living a gracious life, we know that it is possible for us too.

Capital Campaign Luncheon…

This month we re-launched our Capital Campaign with a two-day event out on our main campus. Our plans to renovate and expand our current facilities were put on temporary hiatus by the Covid pandemic. But with the help of some friends, we have re-booted that original plan. James and Kristen Hallam of Ben E. Keith Co. were so very generous to offer their expertise in helping us put together a beautiful luncheon and open house over the course of 2 afternoons.

The Hallams brought along Steve Kemble who put together a beautiful outdoor experience with a grand tent, splendid lighting, the Magnify Coffee Catering, and the weather was perfect! The whole event was topped off by Eddie Deen’s Catering of barbecue and his trademark miniature pies. God continues to grace us at Soul’s Harbor by introducing us to those who are willing to help our mission. From the Soul’s Harbor board, the staff, and all of the residents, a very heartfelt thank you goes out to: James and Kristin Hallam, Steve Kemble, Magnify Coffee, Eddie Deen Catering, Lisa and Kendall Laughlin, and to all those who attended!

This truly is a season to be grateful!

Our dispatch office hours of operation are: Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Soul’s Harbor is sustained primarily through yours and others generous contributions where they are then sold at one of our four area thrift stores.Soul’s Harbor also has the ability to accept and process your vehicle donation.
